Dongle: it's always in your dongle so as long as you don't damage the dongle you don't need to do anything. Just insert the dongle in the new device (which needs RadarOpus installed) and it will work.
Keyless: you need to contact our support team who will do it for you.
Dongle to keyless: you need to contact our support team who will do it for you. There may be a charge as we need to "delete" a license and "order" a new one.
Keyless to dongle: you'll need to have already purchased a dongle, then contact support and they will make the transfer for you. There may be a charge depending on what type of license you have.
Old dongle to new dongle: as long as the old dongle works, we can do that for you free of charge through a remote support session.
Broken dongle to new dongle: if your old dongle is broken we cannot retrieve the license and will need to charge you for a new license to insert in the new dongle.
Dongle means when you purchase a physical USB dongle from us. This will retain the license, as a result if you have installed RadarOpus on e.g. 5 PC's, you can use our program in all 5 devices as long as you insert the USB dongle in the device.
Note: the dongle does not store your backups so if you often save cases it's recommended you always use the same device or save backups on an external portable drive.
Keyless means that the protection is stored on your PC/MAC. As a result you can only use RadarOpus on that specific device. If you re-format or physically alter your device, you will break the license and will need to buy a new one.
Because you can take it with you and use the program on multiple devices.
Because it's easy! You don't have to carry or attach a physical dongle to your PC/Mac.
Because you don't have to worry about updates of the protection (we do that for you).
Because it's much cheaper than getting a dongle.
It's never a bad idea
But... it may be annoying if you work on many different devices.
Also you need to remember to contact support if you want to re-format your device or change physical parts of it (like the system drive), because we need to remove your license first. If you don't tell us and go ahead your keyless license will break and you'll need to purchase a new one.
